His Background
"Siddhant wanted to become a painter and I wanted to become an architect. We used to work together as construction labourers," says his cousin and director Anant Mohanty. His father had migrated to Bhubaneswar in 1963 to join a private company and worked as a laborer in the southern belt. He brought him to film sets to study set decoration. Did He Ever Give Up Acting? His Journey So Far
In his early years, Mohapatra started his career as an assistant director with Nirup Bhandari. Later on, he also worked as an associate director with Prashant Mohanty, Pradip Patade and Chidananda Panda. Sidhant Mohapatra got popular with his 2004 film, Jupandetakom, a film which was a turning point in the actor’s career. He garnered rave reviews for his performance in Chokher Bali, a 2005 romantic drama, which also starred Madhu Sharma and Saloni Batra. The film earned him a Special Jury Award at the New York Indian Film Festival. In 2006, Mohapatra’s performance in the Sundarayya-directed movie Kaakha Kaakha received unanimous acclaim. The movie received five Filmfare awards, including Best Actor.
Achievements and Awards
He won the National Award for the Best Actor in 2003 and won the IIFA Best Actor Award in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he won the Star Screen Award for Best Actor.

Life is all about taking what you have in your hand and taking a step forward, first one step, then two. Go ahead and be independent. Be the strongest and the boldest. Be always guided by the courage of your conviction. If you have a dream in life, do everything you can to make it come true. Don't forget that life is a competition and anyone who succeeds is one step ahead of you. Everyone should know what they want in life. The question is, how to achieve it? How can we change something in this world? We all have to do our share. Don't compare yourself to others. Always focus on your own capabilities, not someone else's. Life is short and there are so many things that you want to do. Be sincere in everything you do, and focus on the work. You can become anything you want in life.
